11,947 health centers receive resources from the “La Clínica es Nuestras” programme.

“Our Clinic” is a program to provide direct support to health units operating in local communities and implemented through health for well-being committees, which form an essential part of the operational structure of these centers.

Promoting public health in Mexico

Meanwhile, the Director General of the Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS), Zoe Robledo Aburto, explained that 11,816 welfare health commissions have been created, representing 99% of the planned total. These committees will receive P5.087 million between Tuesday and Thursday of this week.

The governors of Chiapas, Oaxaca, Guerrero, Veracruz, Quintana Roo, Campeche and Tabasco, who communicated via video call, reported the delivery of 2,431 million pesos to those in charge of health commissions for welfare.

Robledo explained that 8,652 health centers with one office will receive 400,000 pesos; 1,527 centers with two offices for P600,000; 943 Three to five offices for P800,000; 403 out of more than six clinics, one million pesos and 291 health centers with extended services (Cessas) at a cost of more than one million pesos each.

Robledo explained that from now on, financial support will be provided through Banco del Bienestar cards depending on the size of the health units, in order to carry out maintenance and preservation work and acquire basic medical equipment and furniture.
