Property, Which includes songs from their albums and a variety of genres such as danzon, rock, pop, rumba and folk rhythms typical of Latin American countries such as Brazil, Peru, Argentina and Mexico itself.
It will feature the Cuban-Argentine jazz trio Property Songs from his albums “La Quenística” (by Rodrigo) and “Mi monte mystical“ (Alexander). It will be an interesting fusion, the artists commented, because the classic songs of Argentine Piazzola, Mexican Consuelo Vasquez and Cuban Abelardo Valdes, are performed with innovative arrangements, but without losing their originality and special touch.
Falcone, who was already at Cervantino in 2005, has been working with Rodrigo for ten years. Both have achieved a close musical relationship in which the piano is mixed with the quina, and they have played their song several times, especially those of Rodrigo, achieving an interesting blend of their folk instruments, with contemporary formats leading into new generations.
The Cervantino Festival, as its name suggests, honors Miguel de Cervantes and will host South Korea and Mexico City as guests of honor.
