(CNN) – A second journalist died while covering the FIFA World Cup in Qatar, according to a tweet from the Qatari outlet Al Kass on Saturday.
Photojournalist Khaled Seif Salem Al-Musallam worked for a newspaper diagonal channel When he passed away over the weekend, Khaleej Times reported that he died suddenly while covering the tournament.
Al-Kass wrote in a tweet, “We ask God Almighty to bestow mercy on him, to remain in his spacious gardens, and to provide his family and relatives with patience and comfort.”
The circumstances of Al-Muslim’s death are not clear. Alkass did not disclose further information and did not respond to CNN’s request for comment.
FIFA and the Qatari government also did not respond to CNN’s request for comment.
The killing of Khaled Saif Salem Al-Muslim comes after the killing of Khaled Saif Salem Al-Muslim American journalist Grant Wahl passed away on Friday After collapsing while covering a match between Argentina and the Netherlands.
