Eric TunhaagCoach Manchester United, Had the chance to chat with him Johan Cruyff On a TV show when the current coach of the “Red Devils” was 13 years old.
The meeting took place in TV show “Cruyff & Company”when Erik Ten Hag was a young player from FC Twente.
The advice Johan Cruyff gave to the boy Ten Hag: “What you have to do is train, train, train”
“What’s the best way to develop your technique?” Ten Hag asked Cruyff.
“Developing your technique is very simple. What you have to do is train, train, train. This is the only thing you have to do before anything else,” the former Barcelona coach recommended.
Cruyff’s advice should have benefited Ten Hag, who played as a professional footballer for Twente, De Graafschap, RKC Waalwijk and Utrecht.

Ten Hag was building in confidence, and at one point in the program he made a recommendation to Johan Cruyff on how to lead his players: “With youngsters, you have to be careful not to shout too much because that can break a player. I think..” Ah, football doesn’t mean something for me. I’m leaving”.

Erik ten Hag is 52 years old and Johan Cruyff passed away on March 24, 2016 at the age of 68.
