Bad news for horror fans, Matt and Ross Duffer announced on their Twitter that production of Season 5 of… Weird things It will be delayed until the end of the writers’ strike organized by the WGA. The Duffer brothers announced this through their Twitter account, as part of their solidarity with their writers, who are demanding fairer treatment of their earnings from the major broadcasting companies. The strike started this week, but it has already affected many products such as Cobra Kai And Abbott Elementary.
The Duffers join a long list of actors, directors and producers who support the Writers Guild strike, including Elizabeth Olsen (wandavision), Pete Davidson (King of Staten Island) and Rob Lowe (Austin Powers). On the other hand, the CEO of Warner Bros. Discovery David Zaslav says this strike will end soon: “Love work, love work. We all get into this business because we love telling stories… That’s what will unite us.”
“The writing does not stop when the shooting begins,” is the central message of my creators Weird things, who shows respect to his colleagues who demand a decent wage for their jobs while the industry catches up and leaves them behind. Some productions ignore this fact and continue recordings despite the fact that they won’t get scriptwriters’ advice, if the plot requires an unexpected change of script during the development of the story: one series that will do this is Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power.
Season Five Recordings Weird things They were set to begin sometime in 2023, but with the forward message to its creators, production will remain on hold until union orders are met. The writers’ strike in 2007 lasted 3 months and 8 days, but the time had tragic effects in Hollywood as audience levels and production quality lost ground.
Production will start as soon as the writers’ strike is over, and in the meantime all of my fans will start Weird things They will wait to see what happens with their favorite series. You can watch the first four seasons here Netflix.
