Argentina’s under-20 rugby team Los Bumitas will play New Zealand’s Baby Blacks in a friendly on Sunday in the South African city of Stellenbosch, Argentina at 9.30 as part of their preparations for their World Cup debut. Type held in South Africa.
With this, the Alvaro Galindo-led team will have a strong competition against the Baby Blacks, one of the best candidates for the Youth World Cup.
Bhumitas last played against the New Zealand youth team in July 2022 during the Oceania U20 Championship. Then, it lost 32-9.
The World Cup in South Africa will be divided into three zones of four teams each: Zone A with Wales, France, New Zealand and Japan; B with England, Fiji, Australia and Ireland; and South Africa, Argentina, Italy and Georgia with C.
Los Bumitas’ debut is against Italy on Saturday, June 24 at 6pm (Argentine time) at the Baarl Gymnasium in the city of Baarl.
On Thursday 29, Los Bumitas take on Georgia at 11.30am at the Danny Craven Stadium in Stellenbosch; They will conclude their qualifying campaign against South Africa on Tuesday, July 4 at Boland Stadium in Wellington, Western Cape at 2:00 pm.
The semi-finals of the Youth World Cup in South Africa will be held on July 9 and the final on Friday, July 14.
