The Argentina Rugby TeamLas Pumas kick off the international season today by taking on the All Blacks from New Zealand. Rugby Championship, in which Australia and South Africa are also participating. The match was held at the Malvinas Argentina Stadium Province of Mendoza. The visitors won by 41 to 12.
The commitment to Las Pumas was very demanding and put everything that had worked in the previous one to the test. However, the Mariners did their best and took advantage of the arrival of an irrepressible Don Coles from the start.
Coach Michael Cheika once said that if you don’t focus 80 minutes a week, you will pay dearly for your mistakes. A few minutes later Arti Xavia added to Jordie Barrett’s surges, accurate kicks from Damian McKenzie and a relentless black gale to extend the score to 31.
The Pumas never found their game in the first half and didn’t claim the back row of New Zealand players. The attacking weight shown by the national team was so small that there were two approaches where they came close to getting a discount.
In the complement, Argentina improved the image and pushed the poor streak of the fight towards the rival field, which allowed it to be cut down by Lucio Zordoni, The joy didn’t last long, as again the contestant collided with Barrett Bouton and Emoni Narawa. A closing waiver for the complex of Augustin Grevi and the change of Emiliano Boffelli did not change the final result.
The Argentine team was diluted with the ticking of the clock And the Malvinas didn’t last long in Argentina. The public marched in the parade, though they too went home empty-handed.
The Rugby Championship, which has been held between August and October since 2012, will be played in a shortened version this season from July 8 to 29 due to the 2023 World Cup in France starting on September 8.
