The company’s annual developer conference, Samsung Developer Conference (SDC), highlighted the latest multi-device experiences and services, as well as the truly connected ecosystem
Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. today held its annual Developers Conference (SDC) at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. The ninth event dedicated to developers and partners focused on Samsung’s commitment to innovation and strategy, highlighting its various platforms, including Bixby, Samsung Knox, SmartThings and Tizen.
During the conference, Samsung introduced new ways to create safer, healthier and more sustainable experiences through its multi-device ecosystem, which was particularly enhanced by new connectivity features in SmartThings and updates to the Samsung Knox Matrix. The event also launched One UI 6, the latest version of the mobile user interface, which is more customizable than ever for a complete experience.

Smart homes are more connected than ever
Samsung’s vision for the connected home is deeply rooted in SmartThings and open innovation. Since implementing the Matter standard last year, the total number of SmartThings users with connected products and services has risen to more than 290 million. Samsung Electronics leveraged SDC23 to share its improved health solutions based on the power of connectivity. New digital health experiences from SmartThings and Samsung Food, and a personalized sleep environment are enabled by better connectivity with users, devices and services. To benefit from these experiences, Samsung announced its continued commitment to Samsung Premium Health Development Kit (SDK)which allows developers and partners to create digital health solutions using Samsung biosensor.

Samsung also shared more details about its new service Samsung Foods, including Food AI and Vision AI technologies, providing a complete dining experience across all devices. This includes a creation program for sharing recipes, grocery shopping services, personal recommendations, and more. Additionally, Samsung plans to offer Samsung Health integration with Samsung Food so users can receive diet management suggestions.
