The company said it received notification from national cyber security centers in both countries, while its global response teams assessed the scale of the attack.
The company said in a statement that it was not clear whether it had access to personal information.
“Although the extent of the incident is still under investigation, Nissan is urging its customers to monitor their accounts and look for any unusual or fraudulent activity,” he added.
It noted that so far its network of agencies has not been affected and it is working to restore its systems.
