In this context, the Executive Directorate of Equipment and Maintenance of the General Directorate of Health Operations held a technical meeting to approve the draft technical document: Minimum technical standards in infrastructure and equipping health institutions to adapt and mitigate the effects of climate change.
The activity included the participation of multidisciplinary teams, such as architects, mechanical, electrical, civil and biomedical engineers, among others, from health institutions, universities, hospitals and specialized institutes of the Metropolitan of Lima, who made contributions to enrich and improve the aforementioned document.
This document constitutes a guide for adaptation and mitigation measures in health facilities; Moreover, it responds to the initial programming of Nationally Determined Contributions to Climate Change Adaptation, approved by the Ministry of Mensa, whose Product No. 5 stipulates that weak institutions providing health services (IPRs) must implement their adaptive capacity in structural and non-structural structures. .
