Costa Rica urges ambitious and concrete environmental action

Alvarado reiterated Costa Rica’s commitment and urged other countries to take immediate action that benefits the planet.

At another point in his speech, he noted that the world’s military consumption in recent years has taken place and he took the opportunity to ask the world’s top leaders to set aside the military and commercial issue.

“Why invest in military spending if it is fossil fuels that are putting our people at risk?” he said. , stressing that this spending is meaningless in a dying world.
