On the morning of Monday December 12, a traffic accident was reported, after a truck loaded with rice overturned in Bayamo, Granma province.
The user, identified as Yuniesky González on Facebook, posted the event in the group “ACCIDENTS BUSES & TRUCKS FOR MORE EXPERIENCE AND LESS VICTIMS!”.
In the aforementioned group are photos showing the truck loaded with rice overturned on the side of the road.
Several members of the group said that there is a dangerous curve in the site, based on the occurrence of traffic accidents in the area, and even recently another truck overturned there.
The unit that transports the food is brand Hino, and belongs to a company from Jatiponico, Sancti Spiritus.
“At a PRU bend in a Bayamo state truck loaded with rice. Watch out on the road, gentlemen, we have come to the end of the year,” wrote a netizen known as Eduardo David Cedeño Sanchez, who also shared a video while driving around.
It should be noted that traffic accidents are common in Cuba due to the poor condition of the island’s roads, signaling problems, and the poor condition of the island’s vehicle fleet, as ordinary citizens do not have to properly repair their units.
A few weeks ago, Colonel Roberto Rodríguez Fernández, head of the specialized traffic agency of the General Directorate of the National Revolutionary Police (PNR), stated that in Cuba, from January to September, 7 thousand 302 traffic accidentsWhich left 507 dead and 5498 injured.
