Specialized has posted a suggestive photo on social networks where you can see a cyclist with his face covered by an aerodynamic helmet, one of the brand’s latest trademarks to be announced soon. The photo shows this anonymous cyclist riding a mountain bike in a wind tunnel, and therein lies the surprises.
The bike in question, likely the next generation of Specialized’s epic, features some interesting details. The highlight is an integrated handlebar in which the stem and handlebar form one piece, a component not found on any of the brand’s MTBs to date.
On the other hand, you can also see in the second picture New SRAM brakes A completely different design from the current one. The brake hoses come from the master cylinder affixed to the handlebars, giving a cleaner, sleeker aesthetic to the front of the bike.
Finally, there’s also an improved internal cabling system with the cables entering and the rear brake hose going through the direction of the bike, a solution that looks set to become standard on the vast majority of bikes they’re about to come.
Both the image published by Specialized and the details mentioned, which seem to be well completed, indicate that the new generation of Specialized’s Epic is almost ready to see the light, so it would not be surprising that the brand made the official presentation in a very short period of time.
