Berlin, May 3 (EFE). Two girls were injured in an accident at an evangelical school in Berlin and a suspect was arrested nearby, police in the German capital said Wednesday.
And the police added, in a post on the social networking site Twitter, that the two girls, who are seven and eight years old, were transferred to the hospital, and the life of one of them is in danger.
According to German media, the suspect is an adult who attacked the two girls with a knife when they were inside the schoolyard, located in the multicultural district of Neukölln, south of Berlin.
It was alleged that the events took place with other children as witnesses, who are currently receiving psychiatric care.
The Public Prosecutor’s Office also went to the scene, but no further details were disclosed about the nature of the attack and the attacker’s motives. EFE
