The Yankees and Phillies’ star players received the most votes in the midseason classic.

Judge led the majors with 3,425,309 votes in the first round of fan voting and was named to his sixth MLB start in seven All-Star Games, despite missing last year with a sprained big toe. He also received the top vote in the first round in 2022.
He became the 11th player to lead the majors in voting multiple times since fan voting resumed in 1970, joining Ken Griffey Jr. (five times); Rod Carew (four); Ichiro Suzuki (three); and Hank Aaron, Jose Bautista, Johnny Bench, Albert Pujols, Cal Ripken Jr., Alex Rodriguez and Ozzie Smith (two each).
Harper led the National League and finished second in the major leagues with 3,277,920 votes. He was elected to his eighth All-Star Game, and seventh as a starter. His previous All-Star Game appearances were as an outfielder and designated hitter.
The duo were selected under rules starting in 2022 and starting spots were awarded to the top vote-getters in each league in the first phase of online voting, which began on June 5 and ended on Thursday. Two finalists in each other position advance to the second stage, which runs from noon EST on Sunday to noon EST on June 30. Votes from the first stage are not transferred. A person can vote once every 24 hours.
The remaining starters will be announced on June 30. The pitchers and reserves will be revealed on July 7.
