The Braves said Acuña Jr was sent for further evaluation of the knee and hopes to get an update on his condition on Saturday.
“I don’t think it’s anything,” manager Brian Snitker told reporters, according to MLB.com. “It's probably one of those things that if this is the season [regular], he was playing. “But we wanted them to analyze whether it was enough that he said that.”

The Venezuelan outfielder participated in Atlanta's spring game on Thursday against the Minnesota Twins, but injured his knee while running. He was able to take batting practice before Friday's game against the Baltimore Orioles before being taken out.
Acuña Jr is coming off a monster hit in 2023, becoming the first baseball player to hit 40-70 thanks to 41 home runs and 73 steals, leading the National League. He also led the National League in on-base percentage (.416), OPS (1.012), hits (217), and runs scored (149).
