Riot Games has released the first trailer for Arcane, the animated series based on the popular video game League of Legends. The project will premiere on Netflix on November 7 and is being developed by French studio Fortiche, known for several League of Legends animators and virtual k-pop group K/DA.
Arcane will have nine episodes in total, to be released in three separate acts. The first chapters will be released at dawn on November 7, the second chapter will arrive on November 13 and the last on November 20.
This series is based on the world of League of Legends, a popular video game free to play It was released on PC in October 2009. It is currently one of the most important esports in the world and is one of the most played games on PC, with nearly 150 million registered users.
The heroes of the Arcane are the sisters Vi and Jinx and the events take place in the city of Piltover, specifically in a modest neighborhood called Zaun. They confirmed from the animation studio that this is a series about contradictions and duality as they wanted to explore what people can do for the family.
