Just half an hour from Jerez de la Frontera Arcos de la Frontera (31,902 inhabitants), one of the most beautiful towns with a history of bull-skinning, located in the heart of the Sierra de Cádiz. Its name was changed according to the area of its inhabitants. In Roman times it was called Arx-Arcos (“High Castle”), a name derived from its two rocky outcrops, Peña Vieja and Peña Nueva, which lead to a cliff that impresses with the Guadalete River at its feet.
During the period of Islamic rule, it was called Arcos, until the Reconquista when the Christians took it back with Alfonso X El Sabio, and renamed it as it is today. A city exuding people with its whitewashed houses, narrow streets and charming Flemish taverns. Amidst so much good and great, Madridismo appears overt and unconvincing. We decided to create a club in 2015 and here we continue to fight”. In these seven years of age, they’ve seen Real Madrid lift four Champions League trophies, three of them off the bench Zizou, whom they adore for all the legacy he left at the Bernabéu as a player and as a coach. The dinner at Mesón de La Molinera is a great success, with 120 peñistas dedicated to the cause. Lots of flamenco, lots of toast until the 14th and a shared dream: “I hope Ancelotti can now bring us the 15th”.
