At the ongoing Softball World Cup in Argentina, the Oceania team performed their traditional ritual.
The first U23 Softball World Cup is underway in Argentina. To be more precise, the tournament is based in Parana and the Nafaldo Garconel Stadium and El Plumazo Diamond are the stadiums that will host the matches until April 23rd.
This is not the first time the city has hosted the Softball World Cup. The 2012 Junior Men’s Softball World Championship was played for the first time in 2012. On that occasion, Argentina won the title.
Sharing a group with Australia, the Czech Republic, Mexico, South Africa and Singapore, the Argentine national team advanced to the Super Round with three wins and two losses to finish third.
The streak continues this Thursday when they face Canada. They then face New Zealand on Friday and Japan on Saturday. In this way, after completing this event, the qualification for the final and the fight for the third place will be defined.
However, beyond the performance and trajectory of the Argentine national team, the most impressive situation was carried out by New Zealand. Oceania team played the haka against Australia.
In rugby, this ritual performed by the All-Blacks is iconic, the New Zealand softball team performed their game and captured the attention of all the spectators waiting to watch the game.
