Argentina recorded a historic victory over New Zealand this Saturday (11/14/2020) by defeating the All Blacks (25-15) for the first time in their nation’s first match at the Bangwest Stadium in Sydney.
25 points opener Nicolas Sanchez’s work, 20 on foot and five on one Try. In 29 previous games, Puma could not beat All Blocks.
After not playing any Tests after last year’s World Cup, Las Puma faced the injured team after a 24-22 defeat to Australia’s Wallabies last week.
Despite such a long gap, Argentina clearly dominated the first half against some losing All Blacks (16-3). All Blacks’ pressure was intense in the second half, but Argentina were well on their way to achieving this historic result.
Argentina have not played an official match for more than 13 months since their clash with the United States on the final day of the opening round of the World Cup in Japan.
After their victory, Argentina is ranked second among the trio.
