On the other hand, he thanked the expressions of solidarity with his country’s Vice President Cristina Fernandez after the assassination attempt.

He noted that all the signs of affection and affection that we have received speak of the call that we have as a space for Latin America and the Caribbean to maintain peace and respect for others and to eliminate political violence as a mechanism for coexistence.

Cafiero also called for the expansion of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States with partners outside the region such as China and India and with other blocs such as the European Union, the African Union and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations.

He emphasized that in this interconnectedness within and outside the region, the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States must play a central role as an interlocutor and facilitator of consensus, particularly in a complex international context such as the current one.
