At least two Palestinian civilians were killed and an unspecified number of others were injured in the early hours of Saturday morning as a result of the new Israeli military offensive on the Gaza Strip, WAFA news agency reported. Israeli occupation forces bombed a house in the city of Deir al-Balah, in the central Palestinian enclave, last night. Local sources told the news agency that simultaneous explosions occurred in locations east of the city of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip, and in various neighborhoods of the Nuseirat refugee camp in the central Palestinian territories. However, no deaths have been reported at any of these points so far. Israel’s military offensive on the Gaza Strip, following attacks by the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) and other Palestinian factions on October 7, has killed more than 38,300 Palestinians and injured nearly 88,300 others, authorities in the enclave controlled by the Islamist group said on Thursday. The Ministry of Health in Gaza indicated in a statement published on its Facebook account that “the death toll from the Israeli aggression has risen to 38,345 martyrs and 88,295 wounded,” and accused the occupation forces of committing “two massacres” during the past 24 hours that resulted in 50 deaths and 54 wounded.
