On Friday, Argentine authorities identified another member of the group that made an assassination attempt on September 1 against that country’s Vice President, Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner.
This is Gabriel Nicholas Carrizo, the presumed friend of Fernando Sapag-Montell and his partner Brenda Olliarte, who was in charge of the Cotton Candy Vending business, located on the corner near the Vice President’s house.
Urban surveillance videos reviewed during investigations into the legal case indicate that the three citizens were conducting intelligence work prior to the time of the attack. Carrizo appears in the crowd in a black hat and face mask, although it is not excluded that the group has more members.
Carrizo is also seen in videos showing the development of anti-Kirchner, anti-government and neo-Nazi demonstrations; A review of his WhatsApp status indicated that after the attempted assassination of Cristina Fernandez, he directly threatened the president, Alberto Fernandez.
The day after the Sabag Montiel attack, Olliarte and Carrizo, along with two other people under investigation, appeared on local television saying they felt threatened.
After Olyarte’s arrest, on 4 September, Carrizo came to testify as a witness, and police authorities demanded that his cell phone be left in custody to collect information of interest.
The investigation also revealed that those involved so far in the attempt to assassinate the Argentine deputy official participated in television programs and severely criticized the government’s administration.
Similarly, on Thursday night, police raided the home of Sabag Montell again, looking for new incriminating evidence, and searched the home of Oliarte’s ex-boyfriend, Lucas Ocampo, where the young woman slept on the night of the events and left a white bag, the same place where the murder weapon was supposedly hidden.
