Over the past few months we’ve seen apps From Goal Be full of custom avatars. They first came to Facebook, then they came to Instagram and now, as expected, they come to WhatsApp. Or at least for the beta version, where it is available from today for some users.
WhatsApp avatars will have two main functions. The first is to create a default “I” to use as a profile picture. The second is to use this avatar to generate attachments Character.
To check if we have this novelty, just go to the app settings and check if the Avatar section appears. If so, just access it and start customizing our avatar.
During the creation process, we will have to define different physical aspects such as eyes, eyebrows, nose, mouth, etc. The idea is to take a few minutes to create something that resembles us as much as possible, in that, well, it’s a digital avatar for WhatsApp and not MetaHuman. We will also have a mirror that will allow us to see ourselves better and check the result.
Once done, we can set the newly created avatar as the profile picture (the ability to choose the mode and background color) and create a pack of attachments with these modes. these attachments We can use it in our WhatsApp chats.
For now, these are the two companions that are available. However, it was leaked some time ago that it would be possible to use these avatars as a kind of mask in video calls. We’ll see if he finally arrives. For now, it’s time to wait for the avatars to spread to all users, which shouldn’t take long to arrive.
