What a man does not have is his brother’s ability to turn the tables. Evan, a quick wit, invents various excuses with which he tries to prove his innocence, in the face of the serious and strong accusations that Sebastian continues to make against him and succeeds.

For her part, Julia asks her two sons to put aside their rivalries. Now that her husband is gone, she feels it is up to her to keep the family together, just as he would have wanted.

At the same time, Bernardo deals with his own problems. The boy can’t stop thinking about Carlos, the young man from Bogotá he met while touring the area. He tried to kiss him and Bernardo, in response, gave him a powerful punch. He did this, neither more nor less, because he did not want to admit that he was, in fact, gay. He is afraid of his family’s reaction. But he can’t stop thinking about his “special friend”.

Days pass and the long-awaited wedding of Lucrezia and Ivan arrives. The bride is radiant, but the godmother Lucia is even more so, she hopes with all her heart that the beautiful event will return Sebastian. The young woman is dressed in her best clothes, preparing to seduce him in any way possible.

Meanwhile, Lucia surreptitiously pays Carmenza, who was working as a waitress at the wedding, to throw Lucrecia’s glass of wine, thus staining her dress. She loses her temper and begins abusing the woman. Gaviota, who cannot remain silent in the face of this injustice, raises a scandal.

Sebastian tries to calm her down, but the girl ignores his words. Very sad, he leaves the place with his mother. After leaving Doña Carmenza at home, Gaviota took refuge in the coffee plantations and burst into tears. There she meets Leonidas Salinas, an agronomist from the region, who has always loved her dearly.
