For the fifth time in a row, Binh Duong province, in southern Vietnam, was chosen by Global Smart Community Forum (ICF), as one of the 21 smart cities in the world, along with cities in Canada, Brazil and Australia, according to Voice of Vietnam (VOV).
This ICF rating is based on six criteria, including: Connectivity – Broadband; Work crew; innovation and equal digital access; level of support and sustainability.
Unlike previous years, this year ICF focuses on strategic directions for sustainable development and innovation with deep and broad applications of digital technology, with priority given to community development and smart connectivity.
This entity assesses that Binh Duong currently has a thriving digital and innovation ecosystem, with various programs promoting sustainable development and the use of clean and renewable energy, and also taking advantage of the development of Industry 4.0 to create a green and clean life.
These programs are a prerequisite for the Vietnamese town to attract more high-tech companies and high-quality human resources.
With the right strategies and consistent development steps, Binh Duong He decided to be included in the Top 7 and then became No. 1 in the international rating of performers.
