LAPAS, FEBRUARY 1 (PRENSA LATENA) Bolivian Minister of Hydrocarbons and Energy Franklin Molina confirmed today that the supply of gasoline at service stations in Santa Cruz and the rest of the country is normal.

“First of all, I would like to draw attention to these irresponsible people who use social networks and some media to generate vulnerability in the population. The supply is normal and when there is misinformation, people go to service stations,” he said in statements to press media.

The address urged residents to remain calm and criticized the political efforts of some people seeking to fuel speculation.

“Yacimientos Petrolíferos Fiscales de Bolivia (YPFB) supplies fuels such as diesel and petrol – Molina reiterated – the supply is normal and these reduction assurances are unfounded and false.”

Noting that this is not the first time that the population has been misled about hydrocarbons, the minister stressed that at the end of 2022, during the violent blockade strike in Santa Cruz, false news was circulated on this subject to arouse concern among the population and generate instability.

For his part, YPFB National Vice President for Operations Miguel Angel Colque insisted that it was not necessary to queue at service stations in the eastern capital or in the rest of the plurinational country.

“The fuel is dispatched normally in the provinces of Santa Cruz, La Paz, Cochabamba and the rest of the country. The average volume available is respected at the national level.”

In statements to Prensa Latina, the Executive Director of the National Hydrocarbons Agency, German Jimenez, indicated that the Minister of the Sector and the YPFB confirmed that there is no problem with supplies, and therefore the institution he manages is carrying out the corresponding follow-up. From an organizational point of view.
