Last February, Bruce Willis’ family reported that condition dThe actor has progressed to frontotemporal dementia (FTD). The family revealed that there is currently no cure for the disease and with Willis’ condition progressing, they have shared some updates.
“Since we announced Bruce’s aphasia diagnosis in the spring of 2022, Bruce’s condition has progressed and we now have a more specific diagnosis: frontotemporal dementia (known as FTD)”the actor’s family shared at the beginning of the year.
“Unfortunately, Communication challenges are only a symptom of the disease Bruce is facing. Although this is painful, it is a relief to finally have a clear diagnosis.“, Willis’s loved ones added.

Since the Willis family revealed publicly in 2022 that the actor has aphasia and is retiring from acting, his wife, Hemming Willis, served as her caretaker.
In a video recently posted to his Instagram account, Hemming explained why he had previously asked people caring for loved ones with dementia to send him pictures of “something beautiful”.

“I think it’s very important for us to break down our thinking, which can feel very pessimistic to me.”He said.
“I know I feel like I’m living my best life. I have to make a conscious effort every single day to live the best life I can… I do it for myself, I do it for my two kids and Brookee, who does not want me to live any other way “, added.
“I don’t want to be misunderstood that I’m not. I’m not well. But I have to do my best for myself and for my family.” Hemming explained.
Hemin and the actor married in 2009 and have two daughters.Mabel, 11, and Evelyn, 9. WIllis also shares three children with his ex-wife, actress Demi MooreTallulah, 29, Romer, 34, and Scout, 31.
