Billboard said in an article on this week’s chart preview that RM became the first BTS member to have an album in the top 10 of the “Billboard 200”.
The chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the United States based on their multi-metric consumption expressed in units that include mainstream album sales, song-equivalent album sales (TEA), and song sales. Online streams-equivalent to album (SEA).
Digitally released on December 2, “Indigo”, debuted at number 15 on the chart dated December 17, and fell off the top of the charts the following week.
However, the album rose to No. 3 this week, after the CD version was released, with 83,000 album-equivalent units, 79,000 of which were physical sales, according to Billboard.
RM is the second BTS member to enter the chart with a solo project, as J-Hope debuted at No. 17 in July with his debut solo album “Jack In The Box.”
