China discovers another American spy in a government department

BEIJING, Aug. 21 (RHC) — China has revealed details of another espionage case revealed here involving the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), China Daily reported Monday.

According to the post, the 39-year-old suspect surnamed Howe was an official from an unidentified government department.

According to the Ministry of State Security, while studying in Japan, Hao met an official at the US Embassy in that country who called himself Ted.

Gradually the two became friends and then the American asked him to help write articles for payment.

The investigation reported that before the end of his tenure at the embassy, ​​Ted introduced him to Lee Jun, one of his colleagues.

Before Hao finished his studies in Japan, Lee introduced himself as a member of the CIA office in Tokyo and persuaded him “to take part in acts of rebellion against the Chinese government, and asked him to work in central and sensitive departments after his return to China.”

The report added that Howe signed an agreement with the United States to work as a spy and accepted evaluation and training provided by the United States.

“After returning to China, he successfully entered a national ministry, secretly contacted CIA personnel several times in China to provide them with information, and received money in return,” the text added.

China Daily said national security agencies had discovered the espionage and launched an ongoing investigation.

This case joins another recently discovered in the Asian giant’s military industry sector.

On that occasion, the Ministry of State Security reported that a Chinese national named Zeng was playing an important role in terms of covert work and providing sensitive information as a CIA spy.
