For his part, Kishida thanked Marrero for attending Abe’s state funeral, and stressed that his government will develop the diplomatic legacy inherited from the former prime minister.

Likewise, he lamented the damage caused by Hurricane Ian in Cuban soil, and recalled his visit to Havana in 2015, when he exchanged with Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro on issues such as the historical friendship uniting the two countries, Japanese immigration to Cuba, and common issues. stance against nuclear weapons.
