With 89.3 percent of the population vaccinated against COVID-19, Cuba remains at the forefront of countries in the world with the highest immunization coverage.
According to statistics from Our World in Data, the largest of the Antilles ranks third in the world in terms of the total number of people with a full schema, surpassed only by the United Arab Emirates and Portugal.
Today, the Ministry of Public Health reported that nine million 889 thousand and 981 people have already completed the immunization design with the national medicines Sopirana 02, Soprana Plus and Abdullah.
As of March 7, 10,614,788 people had received at least one dose, including those convalescent from illness immunized with Soberana Plus as a single dose.
Of this number, nine million 379 thousand 545 people have a second dose, and the third is nine million 58 thousand 781.
In addition, six million 32 thousand 529 people had a booster dose: 282 thousand 828 as part of the clinical study, and five million 749 thousand 701 in the booster vaccination that is applied to residents of high-risk areas and groups.
In short, there are 35,086,108 doses of Cuban vaccines in the country.
