Cuban Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Josefina Vidal Head a delegation Cuba In the Ninth Summit of Heads of State and/or Government of the Association of Caribbean States (ACS)scheduled for May 12 in Guatemala.
As reported today by the Cuban Embassy in that Central American country, through its official Twitter account, the event will be preceded by the eighth regular meeting of the ACS Ministerial Council.
“The 9th Summit of Heads of State and/or Government @ACS_AEC will take place in #Guatemala on 05/12, preceded by the 8th Ordinary Meeting of the Ministerial Council of ACS. #Cuba will participate with a delegation headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs @JosefinaVidalF. #IXCumbreAEC.”
“Integration Innovation through Sustainable Development of the Greater Caribbean Region” is the motto of the ninth ASEAN summit, which aims to strengthen ties of friendship, cooperation, trade, development, environmental efforts, and tourism in the region.
ACS includes 25 member countries and 10 associate countries, and since 1994 it has sought the integration of countries to create a common economic space, preserve the sea and promote sustainable development, investment and cooperation.
