The Cuban government congratulated the Prime Minister of Barbados, Mia Motley, on the electoral victory achieved, the day before, in the general elections of that Caribbean nation after declaring itself a republic in 2021, when she officially ceased to be queen. Country: Elizabeth II, Queen of England, broke away from centuries of colonial past.
From his Twitter account, the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, President Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermúdez, congratulated Mia Motley on her victory and wished her success in her administration. He also reiterated “the determination to continue strengthening the bonds of brotherhood and cooperation between the two countries.”

The island’s foreign minister, Bruno Rodriguez Barilla, also shared the congratulations and, from the same microblogging network, conveyed his congratulations to the Prime Minister of Barbados on this victory.
The Barbados Labor Party (BLP), led by Prime Minister Mia Motley, scored a landslide victory and was clearly victorious in all 30 constituencies in the country.
