Delta will begin daily flights from Los Angeles to New Zealand on October 28, competing with Air New Zealand on the route.
For this, the American company will use Airbus A350-900 with executive, premium economy and economy cabins.
The airline will also introduce seasonal flights between Atlanta and Nice, France starting May 12.
Delta will operate the route daily with Boeing 767s until September 29.
The newly announced routes are part of Delta’s broader international expansion plans for this year.
The airline previously announced new routes between New York and London Gatwick and New York and Geneva, as well as several relaunches of transatlantic routes.
Delta is the operator with the largest fleet of Airbus aircraft in the industry, and its new order adds 12 more A220-300s to a total of 119 orders. This model consumes 25% less fuel and emits less CO2 REPORTUR.us (Delta owns more Airbuses than its competitors and orders hundreds more)
