The Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) conference will return to Los Angeles (USA) in the second week of June 2023, four years after its last face-to-face event. E3 2020 and 2022 have been canceled due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and the 2021 event was held exclusively in digital format, rather than in person at the Los Angeles Convention Center, where it is traditionally held.
Against this background, the Software and Entertainment Association (ESA) last June confirmed its intention to return in 2023 with a hybrid format. Now, the European Space Agency (ESA) has promised to bring the industry back together for a “week of the unveiling of the Titanic Triple-A” that will include “world premieres” and give access to the “future of gaming”. Bringing together digital events and live activities, E3 2023 will be attended by video game developers, publishers, journalists, content makers, manufacturers, buyers and licensors.
The company responsible for managing this new edition of E3 will be event organizer ReedPop, responsible for New York Comic-Con, Star Wars Celebration and Penny Arcade eXpo (PAX), a video game festival held in Seattle and Boston (US), as well as in Melbourne (Australia). The European Space Agency has indicated that the E3 conference will take place in the second week of June 2023, with no dates set for the time being. Additionally, expect event attendee registration to begin at the end of this year.
