GameStop Offers Retro Video Games, Consoles at Select Chicago-Area Locations – NBC Chicago

Although GameStop has long been known as a destination for the latest video game consoles and systems, those who prefer to step back in time while gaming may be pleased with the chain’s new offerings.

According to the company’s website, select locations across the country have become “retro stores,” offering yesterday’s video games that are normally only available on the GameStop website.

Vintage video games, which have seen a sharp rise in popularity since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, are typically purchased from independent stores or online on platforms like eBay.

According to GameStop, games, consoles, and accessories for the following systems are available on the company’s website and will soon be available in legacy stores:
