GOL Airlines from Brazil, Condor from Germany and Air New Zealand’s Air New Zealand are resuming contact with the United States after two summers with travel restrictions due to Kovit-19.
Brazilian airline GOL will resume flights to two destinations in the United States, one on May 13 from Brasilia to Orlando and the other on May 17 to Miami. These non-stop routes are one of the longest in the world operated by a Boeing 737 Max aircraft.
For its part, Condor will have new non-stop flights from Frankfurt to New York, San Francisco and Los Angeles for the summer. The company will again operate in Portland, Boston, Phoenix, Minneapolis and Baltimore.
“Due to the epidemic, travel from the United States to Europe has only been accessible on a limited basis for the past two summers. As a result, we now see the need for Americans eager to move to Europe,” said Matthias Fries, North America’s Vice President and Regional Manager.
Air New Zealand resumed non-stop flights between Auckland and San Francisco on Thursday and will resume service via Honolulu on July 4 and Houston on July 7. Each of these routes will operate three times a week using the Boeing 787 Dreamliner. In addition, Travel Weekly reported that the airline had announced the route between Auckland and the New York-JFK from September 17th.
