Videos of the Arce’s arrival at the ‘whipalazo’ center in San Sebastian Square, in La Ligta, where the central event will take place, and also of the presence of Chuquihuanca in the city of Oruro, whose residents are demonstrating in defense of the national symbol recently offended by the oath.

It was also reported that the Minister of Health and Sports, Jason Oza, participated in the mass rally of social organizations in the province of Chuquisaca, while other government representatives in several cities lead a mobilization to reject racism, discrimination and violence in Bolivia.

The leader of the ruling socialist movement, Evo Morales, said on his personal Twitter account that October 12 (1492) “is the day of the conquest and not the arrival of any civilization.”

He pointed out that this date represented the alliance between the monarchy and the Catholic Church, “which imposed economic relations of exploitation, relations of political dependence, and relations of cultural oppression.”

On this day of original resistance, Morales emphasized that Bolivia had replaced the colonial state with the Plurinational State.
