GreedFall 2, Croak, Beyond Galaxyland, and Dwarven Realms among 50 games featured at Future Game Show

The European video game fair Gamescom 2024 welcomed news of upcoming releases with a wide catalogue of indie titles such as GreedFall 2, Croak, Beyond Galaxyland, Faaast Penguin and Dwarven Realms. Bionic Bay will arrive on PC in 2025, with a proposed platformer and puzzle game set in an ancient world. Mars Attractions, a video game based on the Tim Burton film of the same name, will also be released next year. Previously, on August 29, Akimbot, a platformer starring two robots, developed by Evil Raptor, will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Woodrunner Games has Croak, a platformer starring a frog with a crown and a head who turns out to be the prince of a cursed kingdom, while Borealys Games has the sequel to Mages of Mystralia, Echoes of Mystralia. It stars Mazarim, the guardian of the Circle of Memories, who must face the shadows of the past to fight the oblivion that haunts the inhabitants of this world. Another new game is Faaast Penguin (September 2024), from Historia Inc., a kart-based racing game that puts up to 40 penguins on the track. Maui the Shapeshifter, from Play on Worlds, puts the player in the shoes of the demigod Maui, who must save his world from darkness, and Pocket Games has announced the thief game Monaco 2. Antistatic has revealed Phantom Line, a psychological horror and first-person shooter set in post-nuclear Europe. It supports cooperative play with up to four participants. Bippinbits has drawn attention with the name of a longer and more complex video game: PVKK: Planetenverteidigungskanonenkommandant, starring a defensive cannon operator in a war against alien invaders.
