The prestigious index gives it the highest rating, AAA. Likewise, it particularly acknowledges efforts in environmental and governance aspects.

Greenergy has been recognized for the second year in a row as one of the most sustainable companies in the utilities sector by the MSCI ESG Rating. The index prepared by Morgan Stanley is considered one of the most prestigious indices in the world, as it analyzes and measures the performance of companies with regard to matters related to the environment, society and governance.

The MSCI ESG rating once again gives Greenergy its highest rating, AAA, as it did in 2022. The agency supports this decision as part of Greenergy’s significant efforts to address risks related to carbon emissions, as well as its strong corporate governance.

In this sense, it highlights the independence of both the Board of Directors and the committees as an essential element that enhances oversight of the company’s management. To this point, gender diversity adds as a notable metric, with women representing more than 50% in the main management body.

In addition, the report notes the work done in talent acquisition and retention, a growing challenge faced by companies in this sector, and highlights a strong employee development programme. Among the various initiatives implemented by the company in this line, the cooperation with ICEX stands out, which allows young professionals to develop in the energy sector in international projects thanks to its geographical diversity.

All are testament to the commitment they have made to sustainability, a cross-cutting theme that runs across their entire business. Through its current sustainability strategy, Greenergy is promoting the achievement of more than 80 improvement actions in environmental, social and governance issues, actively engaging all employees in all countries.

“Sustainability has been the backbone of Greenergy since its inception. We work to make a positive impact on the environment and the communities in which we operate. This recognition confirms our efforts in environmental, social and governance issues, making us leaders in “This sector is ideal allies in the energy transition.”
