Guam to face New Zealand in WBSC U-15 Baseball World Cup – World Baseball Softball Confederation

WBSC Oceania announced that Paseo Stadium in Hagatna, Guam will host the Oceania qualifiers. WBSC U-15 Baseball World Cup 2024 From November 30 to December 4. Guam, ranked 34th in the world, and New Zealand, ranked 40th, will compete in a best-of-five series for the Oceania spot.

The first match is scheduled for Thursday, November 30. The third match is scheduled for Saturday, December 2. The fifth final will be held on Monday, December 4. Tuesday, December 5, will be used for make-up games.

Guam first participated in last year’s WBSC U-15 Baseball World Cup in Hermosillo, Mexico, finishing 12th in the 13-team tournament. New Zealand has participated twice, finishing 12th in Iwaki, Japan in 2016 and 15th in Mazatlán, Mexico in 2014.

The Guam Major League, the Guam National Olympic Committee and the state Department of Parks and Recreation will host the tournament.

Paseo Stadium is home to the Guam Major League Baseball and measures 410 feet (125 meters) in center field and 320 feet (95 meters) in the foul poles.

VI WBSC U-15 Baseball World Cup is scheduled next year. Dates and venues will be announced soon.

Five of the 12 participants have already qualified.
