Correos Centro de La Habana has delivered 89 new bicycles to postmen who carry out their work in the municipalities of Plaza de la Revolución, Diez de October, Centro Habana and La Habana Vieja.
The handover ceremony was held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Communications in the presence of Ana Julia Marin, Vice Minister of Communications, Erlene Rondon Cedeño, Secretary General of the National Union of Telecommunications, Information Technology and Electronics Workers, and Pablo Julio Pla, President of the Correos de Cuba Business Group.
Edilis Hernández Martínez, General Manager of Correos Centro de La Habana, highlighted in the central speeches that the delivery of bicycles will allow a differentiated service in the distribution of press and parcels, home payment of social assistance, postal orders and collection of electricity and telephone bills.
In the capital, bikes are being delivered to postmen in various areas as part of Correos’ efforts to improve the quality of services.
