HBO Max is preparing a spin-off of ‘Birds of Prey’ with Jurnee Smollett

Los Angeles (USA), August 20 (EFE). HBO Max is gearing up for a film adaptation of Birds of Prey (2020) that will feature Jurnee Smollett as the main character and Misha Green as screenwriter.

The Cinelinx portal reported on Friday in advance about this project, which was later confirmed by such specialized Hollywood media as The Hollywood Reporter.

Smollett has already starred in “Birds of Prey” as Black Canary, the character who will now be the center of the action of this new movie.

The actress already knows what it’s like to work alongside Misha Green, who was the inventor of “Lovecraft Country” (2020) and which Smollett signed on to star in with Jonathan Majors.
