Health has reported 17 deaths from Covid-19 and 4,329 infections

Regarding deaths, 17 deaths were identified, 5 of which did not have vaccines, 3 had incomplete doses and 9 had the complete schedule. Since the beginning of the pandemic so far, 16,970 deaths from the coronavirus have been reported in Paraguay.

Among the dead were 5 women and 12 men. They came from Asuncion and the provinces of Caguazu, Cordillera, Central, Itapua and San Pedro.

Meanwhile, the number of people receiving treatment in hospitals increased by 733, of whom 150 are in intensive care units (ICU). Of this group, 74 were not vaccinated, 50 were single doses, and 26 were full doses.

As for the recovered, their number reached 2,975, a total of 466,474 people who were able to overcome the virus.

Dr Sandra Irala, from the Directorate General of Health Surveillance (DGVS), announced the analysis of the population vaccinated against Covid-19 in relation to the risk of death.

He stated that out of every thousand confirmed cases among the vaccinated, one death was recorded. at least one dose, three; and unvaccinated 11.

This assessment concludes that the risk of death from Covid-19 is reduced to 91% of the population who have already received a full regimen of biological materials.
