Working temporarily in New Zealand
As the New Zealand Immigration Agency (Immigration New Zealand) explains on its website, Colombians who want to work temporarily in that country have two options.
The first is a temporary visa to work for one season in the country in order to carry out different activities in the horticultural and vineyard industries. With regard to this visa, it is imperative to have a job offer before submitting the application.
Of these, 14,400 visas are issued annually, and you must be 18 years of age or older and you cannot include your partner or dependent children in your visa application.

Work and live permanently in New Zealand
The second option, the Immigration Office explains, is that if you want to get a visa for permanent residence, you can get these if you have “special skills” that can contribute to the development of that country.

“We invite those with the potential to contribute to New Zealand’s economic growth to apply for this visa. Before we invite you to apply, you must first send us an EOI expressing your interest in your employment, work experience and qualifications in New Zealand. If your EOI is successful, we will give you the opportunity to apply to live and work in New Zealand indefinitely, ”the New Zealand Immigration Office highlights on its website.
This visa is reserved for those 55 years of age and younger, and includes their partner and children under the age of 24 in the residency application. To qualify, a point system is used that measures different qualities and abilities of people.
