After a period of silence, the Russian journalist explained to her followers the reasons for her absence from her usual space.
Afinogenova explained that she ended her work relationship with the channel because she did not agree to the armed conflict between her country and Ukraine.
With a video recorded by herself, in which the presenter of the channel was going there, RT network, Inna Afinogenova, reappeared after a period of silence confirming that she is no longer working for the channel.
In the video uploaded to YouTube, the Russian journalist reflected on the fallout from the war in Ukraine and media coverage, declaring herself “against the war between Ukraine and Russia.”
Afinogenova explained that she ended her work relationship with the channel because she did not agree to the armed conflict between her country and Ukraine. “I have never agreed with any war because I know, and I know by my own self, that it affects above all the civilian population, and I know how it affects the civilian population, no matter how subtle the attacks,” he argued.
“I left RT and won’t come back or appear in the videos from where they go. I also don’t take time, there was simply a contractual relationship I wanted to achieve, for a simple matter of loyalty and respect for the company.”
He also indicated that he did not agree with war in general or with the repercussions of armed conflicts in countries such as Iraq, Afghanistan, Palestine, Sudan, Libya and Yemen: “I don’t care if the United States launches bombs. France, Israel, Ukraine over Ukraine itself, which they have been doing for years. , or Russia. I can’t normalize it.”
Likewise, he said he did not understand war from a strategic point of view, nor the fight for “NATO’s militarization and aggressiveness.”
Afinogenova used the video to savage the media for not covering the war adequately, devoting herself only to “reading or writing one side’s war propaganda” and not publishing critical information.
