Among the objectives to make India one of the major nations for air sports by 2030 are promoting the culture of these disciplines in the country, adopting international good practices, expanding infrastructure, equipment, operations, maintenance and training, and enhancing participation of Indian athletes in world events.
The head of civil aviation also said at a press conference, promoting the design, development and manufacture of air sports equipment in India.
National Air Sports Policy coverage will include aerobatics, model aircraft and rockets, experimental and amateur aircraft, balloons, drones, powered gliders and gliders, hang gliders, skydiving, paragliding and motorized aircraft, and aircraft. with the engine.
NASP 2022 will promote programs aimed at increasing the interest of Indian youth in air sports and encouraging schools, colleges and universities to include these events in their curricula.
Student attendance at national and international competitions for different ages will be enhanced, and innovation, research and entrepreneurship in this field will be promoted.
