Washington, DC, November 28, 2023: The Pan American Health Organization, in coordination with the Public Health Virtual Campus, presents the Portuguese version of the course “Introduction to the Renewable Essential Functions of Public Health (EFSP).”
The main objective of this online course is to introduce the new conceptual framework of the FESP, provide basic concepts of evaluation methodology, strengthen the management of health authorities and inspire participants to identify their personal contributions and become agents of change to promote holistic health.
Based on this new conceptual framework, the course is divided into two modules, including multimedia lessons, exercises and a basic bibliography that can be accessed through the virtual classroom. The approximate duration of the course is 10 hours. This format allows participants to adjust their study schedules and think about applying what they have learned to the realities of their country.
To successfully complete the course, participants must achieve a score of at least 70% on the final evaluation questionnaire, available after completing all course lessons. Once they pass the final assessment and complete the Virtual Campus Satisfaction Survey, participants will be able to download the course certificate. They will also have ongoing access to course videos for future reference and use outside of the virtual classroom.
