Entre Rios Minister of Health, Karina Rey, visited the Juan Baggio Health Center in Gualeguaycho, where she met Director Emiliano Zapata. On this occasion, the Ministry of Health handed over the medical center for digital ultrasound treatment that has been integrated into the institution’s medical devices and which will be used to control pregnant women and patients suffering from various diseases. The equipment, acquired through Purchase Order No. 18/23, required an investment of 4,030,000 pesos.

He also evaluated: “This enhances the value of the work of the specialists of the Center because it allows timely detection of diseases of low and medium risk, complete monitoring of pregnant women within the institution and reducing waiting times for diseases that previously could only be diagnosed in Centenario Hospital.”

For his part, Emiliano Zapata noted that “the value of this ultrasound device exceeds four million pesos. We are very happy to establish it and I thank the doctor for contacting Gualeguaychú.”

Likewise, he expressed, “This leads to a better quality of care for every user of the public health system in this center. The investment shows the excellent work that the provincial government has done through the ministry either with its owner Sonia Velazquez or, in this case, with Karina Reh’s visit.”

Health Minister Karina Reh also noted, “This investment by the ministry is part of a program that was planned from the beginning of the administration and has continued despite questioning what the pandemic meant. Therefore, we had to consolidate what was necessary for the emergency, and then move forward by allocating technological resources to each actor, whether it is a high or medium level of care.”

“We strive to improve diagnoses, improve responses, and provide a higher quality of service to each patient,” Reh noted. “The ultrasound machine is another tool to provide society with access to a universal right like health,” Zapata added.

Law was also attended by County Representative Mariana Farfan (Kreir Front) and County Senator Jorge Marradi (Kreer Front), who participated in a meeting with Rey and Zapata, where they reviewed legislative work on issues of welfare and labor rights in health workers that have been approved or under discussion in the two Houses.
